Have you experienced trauma, addictions or mental health concerns? Do you need a trusted space to tell your story? Or are you someone who is at an impasse in your life and thinking about making a life or career change but not sure where to start?

Wherever you are in your journey I can assist you in dealing with current and past struggles and the ways you’ve learned to cope. Alternatively, if you’re looking for support and direction in your next life steps, I’m here for that too.

I believe we can achieve your goals with therapeutic techniques like Ecotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), or Personal Development Counselling

Ecotherapy

Enhancing Mental Health Through Nature

In today’s fast-paced world, many of us find solace and healing by reconnecting with the natural world around us. Ecotherapy, is a form of therapy that connects the healing properties of nature into traditional psychotherapy practices. By incorporating nature into therapy sessions, I can help individuals heal from psychological trauma, manage symptoms of depression and anxiety, and develop a sense of inner peace and harmony.

Locally, there are many walking and hiking paths along the river that are perfect for Ecotherapy such as a ‘walk and talk’.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy

EMDR is an entire therapy model that has been proven to be highly effective for those who have experienced trauma. It is founded on the basis that our emotional well-being is interwoven with our physical (somatic) state. Therefore, EMDR employs a body-based technique called bilateral simulation during which a therapist will guide a client through eye movements, tones, or taps in order to move a memory that has been incorrectly stored to a more functional part of the brain.

Personal Development Counselling

This approach is tailored to support you in unlocking your full potential and achieving your personal and professional goals. Through compassionate guidance and evidence-based techniques, you become empowered to navigate life’s challenges, gain clarity on your values and aspirations, and develop the skills needed to thrive.

Whether you’re seeking to improve relationships, enhance career satisfaction, or simply gain a deeper understanding of yourself, I provide a safe and supportive space for your personal development journey. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create a roadmap for meaningful and sustainable change.

What I value most:

Authenticity

Put simply, when we meet in therapy you will get to know me as a real and authentic person. While still demonstrating my clinical skills and competencies, I also set aside any professional façade.

Connection

We are biologically wired for connection. Human connection is a deep bond that’s formed between people when they feel seen and valued. During an authentic human connection, we often exchange positive energy with one another and build trust. One of my favourite parts of being a therapist is being able to connect and build trust with clients and help them build meaningful connections with others.

Non-judgmental

It might sound like a cliche, but after spending a good amount of time in mental health and addictions, I’ve come across a lot of stories. Honestly, I’m not here to judge you.  I’m open-minded, and I respect that everyone has their own unique experiences. Your true self is something I value and appreciate.

Compassion

Compassion is at the heart of my therapy. Compassion is the place where we connect the most, it’s where we develop trust and rapport. It’s how I help you learn to have self-compassion even in the most difficult of circumstances.
